TE Foodies Unite

One of my favorites. TGIF chicken fajita.

Unfortunately, no more TGIF outlets in NCR but heard they are opening one again. Suggestion for similar dish?
Just search for fajita in swiggy?

There may be other restaurants

Fajitas were a favourite of mine abroad.

Long time ive not had any :hungry:

Tried Swiggy/Zomato but didn't find anything that matches even 50%.
Ah well too bad but I found one in blr by a restaurant called Sanchez
Suggestion to mods to change the thread title to 'Luxury Foodies Unite'
I would consider biryani more luxury than fajitas :)

Special occasions, right?

Fajitas is any occasion

I should have said "Fancy" food instead of Luxury food then.
First time hearing Fajitas.
You are essentially making a wrap/roll by yourself :)

What category does DIY roll come under?

Oh right we don't have one because over here someone else makes them for us

Is that bacon and cheese? The bacon is eaten raw? I mean by the looks of it seems raw. I don't know much about these dishes, thus the naive questions.

Cheese and "cold cuts" ... either cured/smoked or cooked-but-served-chilled meats... not raw :)

So fajita is just roti sabji but instead of tearing roti and scooping sabji, you just roll it up and eat?

I would want this thread to be alive for a long time.
Once upon a time I had thought Pizzas were fancy/elite/Luxury but now its more a need/hunger pang/droolworthy and like a scene in tamil movies "Bloody Begger", "Kakka Muttai" its now even affordable and DIY. When we grow up and earn we will find these costs affordable, than we use to as kids.
Leave the thread title as is.

I usually find foreign developed foods tastier in those places than in India. Easy to recollect Papa Johns Pizza's India vs USA. KFC India vs USA.

On Bagels in India, my taste buds are bland to plain bagels but I luved bagel sandwich @ The Bagel Shop, Bandra, Mumbai way before Corona Days.

Yes, because we indianise (bit more spices, ingredients, masala, etc.) to suit our taste. :)

Even south indian dishes in north India have different taste (flavor added to suit north indian/punjabi taste buds).

I have this impression as well. Could just be a case of grass is greener

Niece of mine was over from the states. She liked the kfc here. It was different to what she got there.
Tim Horton's has the most bagel-like bagels, if you've ever had breakfast bagels in the west — chewy with no crunch, goes well with their cream cheese, if that's your idea of a bagel.
Right, after trying it i will agree with most bagel-like bagels. Chewy just the way I was used to

I notice that Starbucks also offers them but the pics look like the regular bread. No shine like the Tim Hortons had.

Just some examples of what I indulge in..\
Hot damn! where are you sourcing your cheeses from? I only found one place which shipped pan India but when I emailed them asking them about their source of rennet, they didnt respond so I didnt order from them, typical rennet in cheeses like Gouda or Pecorino Romano use a calf's stomach lining to curdle the cheeses which honestly is where I draw the line, so if you have any that uses more "ethical" substitutes, would love to order from them,

That hummus looks good btw, but try making your own sometime, both Pita and hummus are really easy to make and fresh hummus just tastes different specially if you have a good olive oil for topping

its just assembling your roll or taco by yourself, only thing fancy in fajitas is the guac considering the prices of avocado here
