Amazon deals and discounts - Dec 2024

I haven't own any of this but this is also a good deal if you are considering to buy SSD. ORICO 1TB NVMe SSD PCIe 4.0- Up to 7000MB/s, M.2 SSD 2280 PCIe 4.0X4 Internal Solid State Drive SSD
The 2TB version review don't inspire much confidence especially related to sequential large amt of data write, better to stick to tried & tested WD SN580 & SN770 at this price point.

There is a difference between the 2TB QLC and the 1TB TLC version.

If warranty given is 5 years as per TPU then I would say its OK. If there is no official warranty in India then I would avoid it completely.

There is a risk of bait & switch as what happened with kingston & crucial models in the past. Even with TLC it is highly unlikely that orico ssd will match the performance of SN770 or SN580 which have a proven 5 years warranty in India. SN580 1TB often sells for around 5.2k while SN770 1TB often sells for around 5.6k.

In the previous long-running thread, if there was a post you would immediately get a notificaton if it was a watched thread.

Its easy to miss a deal if you're not already following that months deal thread. Following monthly deal threads for each site is challenging.

Why did we move to monthly deal thread? @Renegade Please consider reverting to old single thread.

It became monthly threads because people start discussing stuff instead of posting links. There's an entire sub forum of computer hardware to discuss ssd's but still people will mess the deals thread up for some unknown reason.
You can start discussion about this in this thread instead of the deals thread.

And that has still not stopped ..
It seems to me all those that posted after the "discussion" has turned this thread into a circus.

The Mod should make it clear whether relevant discussion can or cannot be discussed in monthly thread

Personally the discussion relevant to the deal does not bother me at all.

Use the report button if you feel a post is off topic. Don't continue to post here about the very thing you are complaining about in the first place.

Lastly this thread is posted under Consumer Electronics and buying advice section! The discussion posted above is relevant to buying advice.

It has been made clear a number of times if you cared to read. And product specific discussions have been spun off into there own threads for the same reason infinite number of times.
If only folks learn how to read .. sigh ..

Most people don't live on the forum to know what you talking about like me.

Thread Topic
Discounts and Deals (NO Discussion)

Simple solution. :)

Instead of making several threads, one thread for posting deals only and one thread for discussions.

Common deals/discounts thread for Amazon, FlipKart, etc. deals and a common thread for related discussions.

There is a difference between living in the forum and knowing how to read ..
I can read just fine. The main Topic is Consumer Electronics and buying advice. Sub Topic mean this falls under the Main Topic.

For those who can read this is self explanatory. Its written at the very Top of the thread. Common Sense seems to have been lost and you are resulting to personal attacks
which is childish to say the least.

No, it's long-sightedness (medically called as hypermetropia) as you missed the link just above the start of your circus.
Common Sense
Indeed, it's missing these days. But fear not, I know the exact place to send such folks - it's called the Void .. oops the Ignore list and off you go !
PS : The Ignore list is fantastic. Try it once, and you will end up using it again and again. Thanks to that, you can enjoy TE clean of all the rubbish and distractions.

Thanks for posting the deal @roadrash99. Got the monitor arm today, came in its original box without any Amazon box or anything over it. The molded thermocol inside fits all the components in a compact package. This arm reduced a lot of clutter for me and if I were to nitpick the lock mechanism for the vesa mount is a bit loose, but still an excellent deal @1500!
I saw the deal post at work and before I could order it later in the evening, it was out of stock (black) for the next couple of days. I was just checking it at midnight on friday and ordered it immediately when I saw that it's back in stock.
Was worried that I will receive a return item but when I got it the next day, everything was in its original packaging :). If anyone's still looking for the deal, keep checking for some more time, you might get lucky.

Coming to the product, the only problem I have with is the vesa mount. The mount and its locking mechanism is a little short in height. When I fix it on the monitor, its so low and flush with the monitor surface that I can't slide in the arm lock mechanism at all. I had to first attach the arm base along with the mount plate and then bolt it to the monitor.

There's no quick release because of that, now I need to remove the monitor along with the joint at the base which is tricky and painful because of the weight of the monitor. My monitor is LG 27" inch 4K one and it doesn't have the mount problem with an AmazonBasics dual monitor stand.
