Budget Fitness Tracker.

I want to buy a fitness tracker under 5k. I had one from FireBoult but it as kinda worthless. It didn't show accurate heartbeats and it's step tracker was pretty bad.
Are fitness trackers even worth it?
Are there any decent options to buy in my budget?
If not, what would be the minimum budget for a decent fitness tracker?

If you can increase your budget a bit, you can look into polar h10 and polar verity sense. I’d suggest polar h10 more. It’s around 8.5k. They are not fitness trackers but one of the most accurate wearable heart rate trackers. You can use the app that comes with it, polar flow I think, to process heart rate data from it for fitness. This will be miles ahead of any fitness trackers under 10k I think.

Checkout the “quantified scientist” YouTube channel. He tests a lot of fitness trackers.

For a bit more than the budget, the Fitbit Inspire 3 just about does what you need from a fitness tracker. I don't take it's accuracy seriously but it is extremely useful to meet my daily target as well as for walks/runs. It helps that the sleep tracking is great and I don't need to charge it more than 3 times a month unlike the Apple Watch I had previously.

Otherwise, for fitness tracking, you cannot take anything sold by the local brands and Samsung seriously. Still remember the time when a family member panicked due to extremely inaccurate heart rate readings reported by one of those budget watches, so they might end up causing more stress than one needs.

Polar H10 is around 22k on Amazon.

It's possible that these sellers (Clicktech Retail Private Ltd for the first 2 listings) don't deliver to your location so you're seeing some absurd pricing by another seller.

I used a Fitbit Inspire 2 which was great for both steps and sleep tracking (for hours slept, I didn't use sleep stage data). I have a Galaxy Fit 3 now, which works just fine for steps but sleep tracking (hours slept) can be hit or miss, especially on nights when you wake up and go back to sleep. It obviously has a better display and features but I realised that I don't really care about that and I've also lost out on 3-4 days of battery life. You should try looking into getting an Inspire 2 or 3.

I had imported a Mi Band 7 from ebay before it launched in India, last year. Worked great for a year but then it gradually just died off.

Went and bought a fitbit charge 6, is miles better but more expensive obviously.

Don't hold your breath on the Charge lasting long, as it has suffered from terrible reliability. That's the reason I went with Inspire 3.

I've been using fitbit inspire 2 since 2½ years and its been great. The display has gotten a bit dull, find a bit struggle to see anything on screen during outdoors, otherwise steps and sleep tracking wise, its pretty accurate. Battery lasts really long, I charge twice/thrice a month. Syncing is also smooth haven't faced any trouble so far.

Yeah, I'd used a charge 3 back in the day which had conked off right at the 2Y mark so I'm ready for that. I honestly would've bought a Garmin but their band was like 3 years old at this point, and I essentially wanted a new model. Maybe next time...
