Aloe vera gel helps rejuvenate the skin after a wet shave.

Available at numerous price points. Cheapest you can get it is good enough.

More affordable than an after shave balm which has it uses if budget isn't a problem.

I shave mostly once a year and barber guy applies that after shave lotion (alcohol based). I read it is not good for skin, but still many companies make such products and even advertise them a lot.

Not a tip just something that works for me great, My skin in oily so I used to get a lot of Pimples tried a lot of Facewashes but none of them worked as expected.
Finally started using Garnier Turbo bright FW (charcoal one). Now I rarely get any pimples and keeps my skin dry too.

See if it's any harsh or drying out your face. It seems to have comedogens too.

Mine is oily skin too, I use minimalist salicylic acid facewash, it is great and non drying. Tried a few others too but still this one does a lot better job. Have to see if I can find anything better than this in price range.

Alcohol isn't good for the skin because it irritates and dries the skin. Search the wet shaving thread for 'after shave balm' that help soothe and repair skin if you were a bit too aggressive.
