Need suggestion for sound system

How do I build a decent sound system for room size 18x8 square feet?
I already have a 15 year old computer speakers iball 2.1, the bass is dead now and two more speakers that are larger than typical monitor speakers.
I don't intend to spend more than 20k (maybe stretch to 30k) on it as I don't have much understanding of sound just need good bass and sound for movies and games.

Should I get a readymade sound system from sony or phillips instead?
 
Since you need a subwoofer, consider a 2.1 setup like the Logitech Z623 or a good soundbar with a subwoofer. However, this option can't be upgraded.
Alternatively, a 2.0 setup with passive speakers (like the Mission Qx2) and an amplifier (such as the Fosi V3) or a used AV receiver will slightly exceed your budget at around 40k. But, you can upgrade to a 2.1 or 5.1 setup later. Sound quality wise this will be a far superior option.
