News NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Is 2x Faster Than 4080 At $999, RTX 5070 Ti 2x Faster Than 4070 Ti At $769, RTX 5070 Faster Than 4090 For $549

RTX 5090 is nothing but pathetic, I am sure that 5090Ti or Super will be in the works. Now want to see how good the AIB cards are in temps and if RTX 5080 beats the RTX 4090 or not.

Retailers will claim they have no stock just to jack up the prices again at their whims. Like what happened with the RTX 3000 series.

Yeah, create a fake demand or a euphoria around the RTX 5XXX series. Scalpers will make money and then in 6 months time, everything will be back to normal.

You might hit the VRAM limit if playing at 4K with the 4070 Super/Ti. For 1440p, 12GB is fine. For 4K, 16GB is recommended right now.
is 4k even worth it 1440p at 27 inches looks sharp as hell, plus there are some great budget 1440p monitors which have become available recently.

4070 isn't meant for 4k. Sure it could run but still not meant for it by unless one wants to compromise on the graphics quality.

not new it is very overpriced 4070 super(15% slower) is much better in terms of value

4070 super= 53k(new), 40k(used)
Hm, but do you think the 12 gigs of VRAM might hold up for next 3-4 years at 1440p ? In games like Indiana Jones, it runs out of VRAM already when path tracing is turned on.

5080 is expected to be near/at 4090 performance.

Muti Frame gen is HUGE for AAA titles as indicative on reviews focusing on it.

Devs are gonna go hard with Multi Frame Gen.

4090 prices will tank below 75k or probably will just buy a 5080. can't wait till the 5080 reviews come out.

what has me worried about the FE is the LM.. what if it dries out in the 4th year post warranty.
The lack of a hotspot sensor on the 50 series will ensure the first time you have a black screen, it will be because of an overheated card.

nVidia said you won't have to worry about the 12VHPWR connector anymore, and they're spot-on. The core will go up in smoke earlier.

I didn't sell my 4090 and looks like the 60 series will not be an improvement either. The DF review is the one to watch to understand how things are going to go hereon out.

Not gonna happen. Only professional users are gonna upgrade from 4090. Most of the used cards you'll see will be from the 30 series, which are falling behind. Puget Systems showed a 10% improvement - 5090 from 4090 - in professional applications with some outliers. Even that may be worthwhile for hardcore money-making rigs, but this is a hold generation like the 20 series was.

in this case 5080 needs to hit 4090 levels.

could be the RIGHT buy this generation or maybe a 5080ti/Super refresh in a year's time will match/surpass 4090.

it's gonna be 5080/Ti/Super that will CRUSH the 4090 prices, especially when Multi Gen Frame becomes commonplace. 75 Games at Day 0 sems like a Superb start for DLSS 4.

Whether we like it or not, this is the WAY.

Yeah I didn't know what resolution he was playing at so I just gave him both the options. For 1440p, 4070 Super and 4070 Ti is enough.
Whether 4k is worth it or not, I don't know. Never tried it. Always thought of 4K as a TV resolution and not a monitor. Everyone has different tastes though.

I agree but for those who can't spend 1 lakh on the 4080, the 4070 Super and the 4070 Ti / Super is a budget option for 4K.

I don't think any card will last for 3-4 years without changing the graphics settings in future games. Even the 4090. So for Ultra Max RT settings, definitely the 12GB VRAM will be an issue but for overall 1440p, I think it'll be fine.
