Auros elite mobo are on different league with higher power stages and extra vrms. But you can save your money by buying ds3h mobo if you don't overclock your cpu nor need extra ports.

Comparison of ds3h to aorus elite is like comparing a scooter to a motorcycle. Aorus series are good in overall design, components, extra ports, sound quality, lighting effect, better thermal management, better build quality etc. and a name value also. On the other hand ds3h have all the basic features a pc needs. In some ds3h motherboards you may see some aorus like features but after the comparison aorus ll win anyways.

when u pair with high end cpus and overclocking aorus are useful cuz of its design and features. for budget builds ds3h are enough if you dont wanna overspend on builds.

In what way are the Gigabyte DS3H mobos different (inferior?) to the AORUS ELITE mobos ?

The Aorus B450 Elite V2 has a better vrm heatsink, built-in i/o shield, included m.2 heatsink, better audio, debug leds, rgb headers, and overall better aesthetics.

Rear panel ports are mostly the same between them except that the elite has DVI and extra audio. Neither support 10gbps USB.

VRM is more or less the same, despite gigabyte claiming it's an 8+2 design, it's a doubler (they call it "twin"), which is a side-grade.

For AM4, B550 motherboards have the most mature/stable designs, followed by X570S.

I have a couple of the Aorus B450 V2, they're pretty to look at but I prefer the MSI equivalent, the B450 Gaming Plus Max. It has 10gbps USB on two ports and costs less. The board doesn't look as nice but it boots faster than the Aorus Elite V2.

Can you tell that I really like motherboards?
