Read it properly. I sold 7800x3d when the 9800x3d launched (Nov 2024) for 32,000. My friend sold the same for 30k a month later. Your ask is too high
You didn’t write it properly. If you wanted to imply you sold 7800x3d for 32k, you should have used a comma.

I sold my 7800X3d, when the 9800X3d launched, for 32k.

Or simply,

I sold my 7800X3d for 32k when the 9800X3d launched.

It was obvious though. In any case the asking rate is a bit high imo

I've sold my 7800X3D for 30k before at this very forum (when new sold for 38k), does that i mean i should disregard what it sells for new.. if you sold it lower does that mean i should sell it lower aswell? new sells for 42-43k today.. the thing is it makes no sense for anyone to buy it at 43k.. if you can spend 43k u can spend the additional 5-7k for the 9800x3d.

So technically my buyer is somebody who wants to save 15k by getting my processor instead of the 9800X3D imo.

9800X3D and 7800X3D are the best gaming cpu's atm, and anyone who finds value in my processor will buy it or not.. i'm not desperate to sell either. if it sells it sells.. otherwise im happy with it for the time being. Hence the fixed pricing.

Requesting mods to clean this thread if required, thanks.

Your claim that a new 7800x3d sells for 42k is true but that price also doesnt make sense since noones gonna buy a new 7800x3d. They might as well pay 5k extra and get the 9800x3d. Hence my point. You can take or leave my opinion. If someone wants to pay 35k, iam not going to stop them. But there is a thing as fair pricing.

In general, it's got nothing to do with the 7800X3D being priced at 42K when someone can pay 5K more, and get the 9800X3D. That perspective would apply to someone who HAS that kind of money to spend.

Your point is based on a NEW purchase. This scenario is for a used product.

However, the 7800X3D is still the 2nd fastest pure gaming processor (not counting the 9950X3D), after the 9800X3D. It's 11% slower, and you'd be paying 53% more, in this scenario. It's not about the product, just the value proposition, in this case.

Would you be able to suggest anything better than a 7800X3D, for gaming, (new or used) for 35K, vs a 9800X3D at 50K?

He just repeated what i already explained in my comment above.. i think he understands.. i just believe hes salty about the fact that i considered the new zotac solid 5080 with 5 years warranty at 133k a better buy compared to his asus prime 5080 sale thread at 143k or the fact i gave him an open offer for 1.2k.

for some odd reason 143k is fair value for a base model 5080 which performs exactly the same as a 130k 5080.. but a 7800X3D at 35k vs 43k or 50k for a 9800X3D is not fair value today because hes sold his for 30k in the past lul

A used 7800X3D is a good buy, assuming you get a good price for it.

Was nothing personal bro, i didnt even realize it was you on the other thread till you posted it. Iam just stating the average prices that it goes for. The 30k one was sold to JDtech, mine i sold to direct consumer for 32k. Again 35k isnt a bad price, its just a bit higher than what it goes for (on average) in the market today. It wasnt as much a swipe at you as much as it was me giving my opinion based on what ive observed.

Btw the one i posted isnt base model, its the prime OC (base is just the prime). It doesnt perform the same as a base 5080 out of the box. OC versions are priced higher not simply because theyre factory overclocked, but because they have better thermals (meaning you can run them cooler at higher clocks).
