Looking to purchase a decent luggage weighing scale as I'm sadly having to travel 3 to 4 times a year now. Had ordered a ibell one in the current sales which I received just today. Weighed some stuff for about 10 to 12 times and it got completely discharged. Plugged it in with me mobile charger and the usb cable which came when it became insanely hot, I touched it, now having slight burn on my thumb and forefinger.

So please suggest something reliable as per your personal experience (not based on existing reviews) and not risky. Thanks.

Mine doesn’t even have charging or anything fancy just a simple coin cell (CR2032) type. Been using it for over 3 years, multiple trips, still works perfectly. No clue how yours ran out or overheated like that, sounds like a freak issue or a faulty unit.

Honestly, these don’t need to be high end just pick a basic one with a coin cell, and you’re sorted.

They all run on that CR3032 cell I thought. Mine does. Some are more efficient than others

I've never heard of a rechargeable luggage scale before

@sparsh19 thanks for the suggestion mate. But I've decided to get one of those weighing machines which our local grocery dukanwalas use. Those can measure smaller weights as well as heavier ones.

The ibell one I bought (and now returned with Amazon dearly apologising after i shared photo of my fingers) was a rechargeable one. And just to be clear, it charged just fine when I charged it when my old asus mobile phone charger. It's just that the usb a cable which they provided was totally faulty which burnt up in less than 30 seconds. And that machine was rather inaccurate. It showed my backpack as 8.5 kg at first go. Then 8 kg. Then 9.2 kg. I knew there would be deviations but ffs more than 1 kg isn't acceptable.

Do you mean this? Because the weight limit is the same of 50kgs on rechargeable as well as battery operated ones. So I don’t really see the use of getting rechargeable because the battery will eventually give up charging in quite a few cycles since it’s a small capacity battery.
