worried about budget samsung phones slowing down as time goes on, phone should last alteast 4 years, is samsung still fine?
Mostly for calls, YouTube, WhatsApp, browsing you won't feel its slowing, while 4 updates is bonus to keep it going on but look for 6/8 GB RAM if wish to use more than 4 yrs.
Phone isn't for me, it's for someone who's not that good with phones. Do give out some recommendations, I'll check them out for user-friendliness. Some of the apps I've tried before use microphone to record and they audio ends up being very low and can't make out the conversation.
if he/she is not good with phone then SAMSUNG is must for such person.

Samsung Galaxy M35 is a good choice. 5G, decent battery, and call recording works out of the box. Just try to avoid overheating by not multitasking too much.

Just my two cents don't waste time with third party recording apps. As others mentioned, Google restrictions make them unreliable unless you're willing to root your phone.
Yes, if a user can manage 222 gram weight + 10/15 gram more of protective cover/guard/case.

I am genuinely curious: what is the use-case for recording calls?
Serves as a record for calls that may be important. Whether work related or personal. There can be many details spoken which one can forget with time but a replay acts as a refresher to agreements/ understandings made years ago and how they came about. Important documents in that sense.

I was reviewing some personal calls from almost a decade ago and it was hilarious at times and also sad to hear the voices of people who have passed.
ODialler supports call recording w/o announcement. Some oppo, OP, Realme or vivo users can try & confirm.
Unless it is double checked I wouldn't trust what is claimed.

Yet for Samsung we can be 100% sure. There are enough people to back that claim and without rooting
