dude i dont know which 9800GT are you talking about, as a standard 8800GT aka 9800GT consists of 112 shaders and a 256 bit bus...i guess you are talking about 9600GS which indeed is slower compared to a 9600GT but a 9800GT is a powerful card compared to a 9600GT

dude...if you had bought a 9800GT and was replaced with a 9600gt then thats not an upgrade at all, its actually weaker and no way you can sell that card for 3.5k...people sell their HD5770 for less than that...try to price it below 2.5k

thanks for the reply....i already have airtel 8mbps unlimited plan for downloads so i wont be using ACT for downloads at all...so if i only stream live gaming and create some game servers, will it affect my downloads??

slightly off-topic, but can anyone tell me what is the download/upload ratio is?? is it 1:1? i am planning to take ACT for streaming purpose which require good upload speeds and ACT is offering an uncapped upload bandwidth...so if i take a 15mbps plan will i get same upload speeds of 15mbps?

truecrypt is really good...i have been using that for past 2 years...the only downfall is that you need to create a separate volume...

ddr5 > ddr3 anyday...it doubles the bandwidth which will be be very effective in games that are memory bandwidth limited like crysis....

as jugga has already mentioned 2GB is very less...if you are running win7 then you definitely need to have 4gb to have descent all round perfomance...a 2nd hand HD5770 can be had for ~3k-3.5k as is a very solid card and consumes less power for low res...so you only need to buy a good psu as...

like others have already said, your setup is very good and upgarding to ivy bridge wont result in significant boost to real world perfomance...

make sure that card you are buying has an aftermarket cooler as the stock reference cooler is plainly inefficient... When i had the 4850 it used to touch 105 degrees within 15 min of gaming with stock cooler.

so if i move to 1699 plan for 1 mbps, will i get 2 mbps?????
