8600 GT is a damn good card for its price . Since I am stuck with a CRT with a max res of 1024* 768 ,I can play almost any game including Crysis(with AA on) at good framerates. Anyway any idea what the price of this new card will be ?

It is , if you throw the price vs performance equation out of your mind and buy components to complement the price of your other high-end components and not supplement their performance. :no:

BTW what are you planning to do with your SDRAM ? I updated to 2 GB DDR2 RAM but I dont know what to do with the 512 MB SDRAM. None of the computer vendors are willing to "take" them leave alone "buying them" !:no:

Too bad ,this news is too late for me. I already upgraded my proccy to an E8400 last month and I must say I am quite happy with it as of now. :hap2:

Go for BSNL UL1350 if u r prepared to wait for 1-3 month to get your connection. Else go for Tata Indicomm if you cant wait for that long (I dont have any personel experiance with TATA so cant say if its good or bad !:P ).

I got an 8600GT 256 MB GDDR3 recently and it is working fine with my CRT (1024*768 res). IMO if u are playing at a max. res of 1280 * 1024 then the stock version wil be sufficient . I wont recommend going for the Fatality version for a slightly better fps at that res.

Believe me ,after the horrible experience I've had, I'm never going to buy a gamepad again in my life . Come to think of it , the controllers I got with my Nintendo 9 yrs back lasted longer than any of these. :ohyeah:

Avoid a gamepad (any brand) .:@ First I bought a Frontech gamepad and 1 button was not working. Had to visit Ankit Info. 7 times but the problem still persisted. After that I changed to an Zebronics gamepad ( had to pay 150 more) and O WONDER OF WONDERS ,:rofl: the vibration is not working ...

If I do control panel -> game cont. -> Properties , I get only 2 tabs - one for settings , one for calibration ; I didnt find any option for turning on "Vibration" . Is there any other way to find out if my gamepad is faulty or not?

Does that mean that my total monthly cost will be only Rs. 750 ( for UL 750 plus plan) plus taxes, if I am only using broadband and not using the landline. Also is the speed fixed at a max of 256/512 kbps , because in Home 500 plan u "can" get speed of upto 2 Mbps during the night (2-8)?

Hi all, Can anyone explain to me what this means?:S "Fixed monthly charge for voice" and "MCU charge per pulse" I am planning to subscribe to BSNL broadband , bur I dont have BSNL landline . Is it possible to use BSNL Broadband w/o a separate landline conn.?

You can check out benchmark result at tomshardware.com . The results clearly shows that the 256 MB ver out-performs the 512 MB ver in "most" games. I have the 8600 GT 256 MB card , and I am able to play Crysis at 1024*768 res with AA .:hap2:
