Sony is arguably the worst when it comes making their products easy to upgrade/replace. But it shouldn't be too hard as long as your hard drive is on the bottom or on the side of the laptop. If its underneath the keyboard though, it could get a little complicated.

I haven't personally used it myself but I think VirtualDubMod supports MKV output.

VLC should work. If it doesn't work, try Media Player Classic.

I have already tried using both those players along with Mplayer and Zoom player as well. Mplayer is the only one that even opens it. But I haven't been able to play it.

I got an error message saying "Input file is not an AVI file!" when I tried the the program from the link. The other file in the torrent is an avi, so I am not sure how this file isn't an avi.

Yeah. I saw the alternate ending. Its much better than the theatrical version.

I have the divx codec and the player but it still doesn't work.
