    IMO, Knoppix is the best for newbies. but for general use, Fedora Core rocks !!!!

    Next Linux Desktop Will Surpass Windows

    MAC OS X rocks in terms of graphics and performance, it will have to been seen how much Linux can match with Mac OS X in terms of 3-D graphics. Microsoft should incorporate WinFS into their Longhorn client release. It will be bad to see Longhorn without the much anticipated WinFS.
