I'd still recommend getting the CPU from abroad - AMD has international warranty on their CPUs. I got the 1700 for 270USD + tax, net around 20k all inclusive. If you can go the US route, I think it's the best thing to do.

Yes, they have an international warranty for their CPUs. Any AMD cpu bought anywhere in the world comes with worldwide warranty. Just create a RMA case with AMD online support. They will redirect the case to local country site office for exchanges.
