The Drop FDX1 is something I want to get my hands on and try it out, do check out the Ikko lineup as well. I subjectively feel its one of the best sub 200$ IEM out there ( barring FDX1 which I have not tried yet).

I dont think so , there have been some really well tuned IEMs from China too. At a budget of 25-30k or lower , its difficult to beat the value Chi-Fi offers. After trying multiple IEMs till the Andromeda & Solaris( have owned the Moondrop Kanas Pro, NiceHCK HK6, Obravo Cupids, Campfire...

I am not aware of any portable R2R DACs. Getting a Poly and Mojo will result in a pretty big (length wise) structure, I would personally prefer a decent DAP like Ibasso DX160/Cayin N3 Pro / Shanling M6 stacked with a good portable amp like Pico Slim. I feel this would be better than the Poly +...

If you are looking for a DAC which sounds tonally similar to analog , R2R/multibit is the way to go. I recently had the opportunity to evaluate Cayin IDAC6 , Schiit Multibit and AD1862 (a DIY DAC), overall the 1862 seems to do a much better job at tonality (the vocal presentation, the emotional...

I have never tried a Lotoo Paw S1 , but I highly doubt it will kill a kilobuck DAP like Cayin N6 II/ Hiby R6 Pro/ Fiio M11 Pro. For budget/mid-fi IEMs probably yes, but the Andros thrive on power and cleaner sources.

I never tried many sources , it sounded good out of my Hiby R6 Pro/Fiio Q5S and sounded absolutely brilliant out of a Cayin N6 II paired with a Pico Slim amplifier.

WTB Steelseries QCK Heavy large mousepad

I dont know but have been kind of too picky on the mousepads. I first owned a SS Heavy and found it to be good in below aspects i) Its thicker than the other pads , even on getting moist it does not make the mouse slow or movement feel heavy ii) Tracking on it seemed very precise with mouse i...

The Q5S would be adequate for Sundara but would cost you as much as the Sundara itself. I paid 14k for a used IKKO OH10 and to me it sounded much better than the TWS Momentums so going by that I would say most of the IEMs of 10k & therabout which are received well across would better the Sony XM3.

I have tried Sundara too, but they are not easy to drive and need a decently powerful amp else they sound very thin and bright. You will need to spend a fair bit more on something like IFI HIP DAC/AMP to drive them well. The Hifiman Deva are known to be easy to drive and supposed to have a fun...

Would be like comparing apples to oranges , but as a matter of personal preference I like listening to my speaker setup more than Ananda ( preference in order of Speakers - HP - IEM). However during work days I tend to use my headphones more than speakers , As a HP Ananda are very engaging...

Was not suggesting you did that, I had not read your post as I was writing mine in parallel :) True that suggestion to try out applies everywhere, but the subjectivity in play for audio is way more than other places hence the opportunity for manufacturers to fiddle around with product offerings...

Subjective Opinion Alert With headphones I have not really experimented beyond 100$ , again because of the value proposition ratio. The 100$ replacement was against the stock cable of Hifiman Ananda and it was certainly for the better for me. But again will it be 50$ better than a 40/50$...

That's what I meant , it does bring a difference for the good or bad. All about how well it goes with your setup.

That's a very controversial question to ask , if expensive cables bring any difference or not. To my ears cable do bring a good amount of difference (especially in speaker setup) , differences are subtle but in a highly resolving setup a very noticeable difference. Many call it snake oil , many...

Selling Beyerdynamic flagship headphones the Beyerdynamic T5P 2nd Gen The condition of the headphone is functionally perfect and sounds very coherent ( not very bright as their starting range) Physically the pads are little worn out but can see a fair bit of usage before needing replacement...
