If budget is not an issue, try the Jabra's, they're known for their mic quality. Jabra 75T has ANC as well. Otherwise you can look at nothing buds, even they have decent mic quality as per the reviews.
If budget is not a problem go with the XM4's, even I have ordered them and waiting for them right now.
If you're looking for budget ones, you can decide between nothing buds or realme buds, both have decent ANC capabilities.
I mostly use the google home mini for my laptop. It does the job and works on voice command which is a bonus. I also have Blaupunkt 10W speaker and they sound decent at best, just that its very loud.
Mi basic bluetooth earphones, I own a lot of devices but these have the most superior mic quality plus it can be connected with 2 devices simultaneously. Lasts for good 8-9h in one charge.

I think any dongle that is compatible with your laptop and your earphones is bound to work, just because its from apple doesn't mean it would just work on apple devices.
I think after the warranty is over, as a consumer, there isn't a lot what we can do unless the company is willing to repair the product, which in your case they're not.
Have you tried filing a complain in the consumer court? I feel that's your only option currently and even that has less...
