Have you tried "loose timings" in custom settings? Meaning set speed to 3600 Mhz but increase the timing values for example if CAS latency of your RAM is 16 just set manually to higher value like 20 maybe...

@DigitalDude no , but you might need swap enabled for whatever legacy reasons, so these days it's easy to configure in-memory compressed zram-swap, some small amount like 1gb or less, at least on ubuntu and ubuntu-based distros... @DigitalDude , I believe "swap" partition of at least same size...

Just get the ryzen 5600G apu it's not half performance of normal 5600 it's almost same. Avoid nvidia on linux especially such an old model. Lots of driver and stability issues.
