That’s not true. Overall, Apple TV is superior in both cases vs the native apps.

2 ft & 8-9 inches when on PC, 3.5 ft or more when on PS5 I have LG CX 55 and have used Apple TV app, and the Apple TV 4K device as well. The app output isn’t as crisp as the device. Also, photos app is a big plus. I am heavily invested on the Apple Pro ecosystem so it makes sense for me.
