My suggestion is to get a laptop with 2nd Generation Pentium Dual Core/ 2nd Gen Core i3

Make sure they come at least with 2GB RAM. also after purchasing the Netbook. Please remove the Windows which came with it & do a fresh Vanila install & install only the applications you require. That will put less pressure on the processor & battery.
