Setup TP Link X20 Deco with Ethernet Backhaul

GM In the Deco router configuration page, under LAN settings, there would be DHCP range - Router IP: 192.168.1.1 DHCP Range: 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.100 or something like will be there. It means that the router will assign any free IP from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.100. So any static local...

Setup TP Link X20 Deco with Ethernet Backhaul

You should set the local IP of Tenda outside the DHCP range of Deco. BTW how much did you pay for the Deco X20 3 pack?

Setup TP Link X20 Deco with Ethernet Backhaul

IIRC Deco devices have a dedicated wireless backhaul. There is also some settings in the App regarding dedicated wireless backhaul. Not sure though. Also, having a dedicated wireless backhaul doesn't mean you'll get full speeds. As @MrGordon said, it depends on a lot of factors, mainly the...

I have plugged in this type of connector multiple times but had never noticed it in the past. TIL. Thanks.

iOS Can feel static while my iPad is charging?

Hahaha 1900 for a basic electrical cable. Typical Apple. But still if you see closely on the other end, only 2 pins connect to the actual charger. The earthing pin on the wall socket end is just there, not connecting to the charger to the other end.

iOS Can feel static while my iPad is charging?

But almost all the official Apple charges, be it iPhone/iPad/MacBook have only 2 pins.

iOS Can feel static while my iPad is charging?

Correct me if I'm wrong, just curious here, the iPad charger have 2 pins only, even if the earthing is excellent, the problem here should not be affected by it. PS: I too feel slight tingle when I'm barefoot and touch the metal part of iPad Air M1 when it is charging.

Headphones causing Health issues (Hearing problems)

While we should clean the ear auricle (pinna), ideally speaking, we should not clean the auditory meatus (it is approx 3 cm long, we can still clean the outer 1/3rd caritagenous EAM, inner 2/3rd is a big no). And no matter how well you clean, it won't be sterile. There will always be residual...

Headphones causing Health issues (Hearing problems)

Prolonged continuous use of IEMs (which seal the external ear canal) can lead to ear infections beacuse they create a closed and humid environment which promotes the growth of infectious organisms. Always take breaks in between prolonged listening sessions. and low volume for long durations can...

Seeking advice on how to increase typing speed

Hi guys, hope everyone is doing well. I type at a speed of around 45-50 WPM without looking at the keyboard (60 WPM on a good day). This further increases by ~10 WPM if I'm looking at the keyborad, I guess the increase in speed when I'm looking at the keyborard is due to increased accuracy. I'm...

Setup TP Link X20 Deco with Ethernet Backhaul

Happy to have helped :) Great, you're getting the promised speeds. Good to know. The Repeaters have to reecive and transmit the data over wifi at the same time. That basically halves the bandwidth. I don't remember the technical details though. In my experience, these repeaters have been...

Setup TP Link X20 Deco with Ethernet Backhaul

There is some confusion here. AP is just a like a wireless switch, kinda a dumb device. It just gives wireless capability to your existing network. An access point is a device that allows wifi devices to connect to a already existing wired network using Wi-Fi. It converts wired Ethernet signals...

Setup TP Link X20 Deco with Ethernet Backhaul

I'm assuming that since you have the C5 set in Dynamin IP mode and you need to enter the ACT User & PW and login after every reboot / lease expire of the router, is this correct? To avoid this, you can change the C5 WAN connection type from Dynamic IP to PPPoE and enter the ACT credentials into...

Setup TP Link X20 Deco with Ethernet Backhaul

You do not need to put the C5 in bridge mode. Bridge mode is mostly used to bypass a gateway devices router&AP component and only to use it as a dumb modem device. Since you already have ethernet coming into your home, you don't need modem. You can keep using C5 and connect the Decos in AP...

Setup TP Link X20 Deco with Ethernet Backhaul

What is your internet plan speed? What wire came to your house - Fibre or Ethernet cable? Do you want to share large files on your local network, if yes, how important is this? I've been using Deco for few years and will guide you based on the above answer.

Android Galaxy S22+ Display Pink Line

I suggest you take it to an official service centre and ask them. They were fixing out of warranty green line (?pink line) display for free if the following conditions were met - 1. The device should not be more than 3 years old (not 100% sure, others please verify) 2. There should not be any...

    Airtel Prepaid Unlimited 5G question.

Do you see a Claim Unlimited 5G banner in Airtel App? I vaguely remember seeing mention of my mobile model in the SMS I received after I claimed unlimited 5G on the App. PS: This was approx 1.5 years ago, things might have changed since then.
