    Reuse old router

    If your only purpose is to share internet over, then you don't really necessarily need to put it in bridge mode. Just plug a cable from existing router's LAN port to this router's WAN port and assign a different subnet which does not conflict with the other router's subnet. Should work.

    Oh yes I forgot, the average distance between platter and read head is around 14 nanometres. So you can imagine what will happen if dust particles generally more than 100nm are floating inside. Thank you @nRiTeCh for the insight !

    Aren't clicking noises directly related to physical problems like maybe a damaged head / motor ? I think I read somewhere above that you were gonna replace the PCB. But platter swapping :O Didn't even know that's a thing, please record a video when you do that :)
