Setup TP Link X20 Deco with Ethernet Backhaul

@tartarus Getting rid of the C5 is a good choice, going through the thread, I didn't find a need for you to use the C5. Now coming to the other question, yes, you can use a basic 5 port switch. Act cable goes into one port, connect switch to other port, now you have 4 other ports (in case...

    Dishwasher suggestion

So I've been monitoring the energy consumption of the Midea unit, and in ECO mode (full load) it uses around 0.65 kWh of energy. The user manual puts the consumption at 0.92 kWh, so this is actually lower than what they are claiming. I have the dishwasher connected to a Tapo Smart Plug...

Front loading or top loading washing machine?

You mean 100 “Wh” total energy consumption for a cold cycle? Or peak power draw of 100 W? The second image shows the energy consumption, 0.807 kWh. This is from the Tapo app.

    Dishwasher: Bosch vs Midea

Even with maintenance, I don’t see how paying 3x makes sense. Would I get 3x the result/value? Others also come with 2 years of warranty so post warranty repairs would be out of pocket anyway. Coming to service network, the installation person came next day of delivery, better than LG person...

    Dishwasher: Bosch vs Midea

@speccy48 I recently bought the Midea unit for 15k. The Bosch was at least 45k or so. Given such a large price difference, does the Bosch still come out superior? The Midea unit does an excellent job IMHO, I don’t have a personal experience with Bosch, but still I find all vessels squeaky...

Front loading or top loading washing machine?

This was a 60 degree cycle. Even with cold water, a full cycle should definitely use more than 74 Wh IMO. I installed a Tapo smart plug last night and for today’s cycle, the energy consumption shown in ThinIQ is more or less aligned with what the Tapo smart plug showed.

Help me decide Railnet/railwire vs BSNL FTTH

Is the cable operator for BSNL and RailWire the same? Meaning both ISP use the same last mile link. This is the practice I’ve seen in most areas. If so you’d need to check the reliability in two ways, one the last mile link and then the ISP itself. Either way if the last mile is good with...

Front loading or top loading washing machine?

Not sure if the values shown are that accurate. A default cotton cycle shows the energy usage as 74 Wh. That’s too low.

    Dishwasher suggestion

@Party Monger Ah yeah, putting the detergent powder into the dishwasher is something that I have had issues with. The Fortune comes in a plastic pouch within a cardboard box which makes it difficult to put it inside the detergent compartment. For now I have transferred to another container and...

    Dishwasher suggestion

@Party Monger I use Fortune branded salt/detergent/rinse-aid. Very good results and economical too. 1 kg detergent, 1 kg salt and 500 ml rinse aid costs less than Rs 500, should last more than a month.

    Dishwasher suggestion

As I mentioned in a previous post, the racks are a bit flimsy, nothing super bad though. Other than that it is super awesome. I don't think anything else will beat this at this price range. If not this, have to go with Bosch/LG/IFB, but then that's 3x the price. I don't think those are worth...

    Dishwasher suggestion

Been running the Midea dishwasher daily for last two weeks and couldn't be more happier, especially when I have paid only 15k. The dishes come out perfectly clean. Two of my relatives have also ordered the same dishwasher after seeing mine. One of them even got it cheaper than mine as there was...

Front loading or top loading washing machine?

Thanks, yes, was looking for something like this. This is helpful. Although I was planning to attach a smart plug with energy monitoring options (Tapo P110), will correlate if the numbers match. Yeah, not sure why the baby care cycle takes that much, but then it runs for 3-3.5 hours. The...

Front loading or top loading washing machine?

Okay, so when I checked the LG Thin IQ app yesterday, I was surprised to see energy usage at a cycle level. We can also see a consumption graph with the daily, weekly, monthly energy consumption. Perhaps there was some update to the Thin IQ app or it just needed some time for the data to start...

    Experience with International eSIMs

For my trip to Vietnam in 2022, I got one sim from the airport and another for my partner from the operator store in the city. At the airport I paid 350k VND and at the store I paid 200k VND (this was a lower plan too I think, don't remember the exact details), in INR that was 1200 vs 600. Both...

Linksys LN1301 - Group Buy from US

It consumes around 11-12 W at idle, so you'd need at least a 12V 2A power supply.

Thanks, looks like the programs are more or less same in this one too. I tried the 90 min and intensive wash the last two days, both did a satisfactory job. Only one or two long flat spatulas didn't get cleaned as expected, but I think that was due to the positioning. Today, I plan to do the...

    My UPS needs a 12v 9aH battery, can i use 12v 7aH instead ?

If you are looking for the 9AH variant, why not just buy from the link I shared earlier? I think the pricing is reasonable.

    My UPS needs a 12v 9aH battery, can i use 12v 7aH instead ?

I gave it at the battery shop from where I purchase the battery water for my inverter batteries. I think they gave Rs 150 or so per old battery.
