Need a brief guide to modding a Samsung Galaxy S2 (running Jellybean 4.1.2 leak)

Guys, Thanks for your helpful inputs! You're Gr8 :hail: Now, I'll try out a few ROMs and let u know how it goes ... A few nagging questions: 1. What are the differences that the kernel creates? The Siyah kernel is required only to make hardware tweaks like OCing, right? (I suppose I cannot do...

Need a brief guide to modding a Samsung Galaxy S2 (running Jellybean 4.1.2 leak)

Hi TE mates, I am new to Android and I've recently bought a (used) SGS2 from a member here (Fah33m). It has the Jellybean 4.1.2 Leaked Official firmware installed on it (XXLSJ). I have been browsing the web for methods to mod my phone and have been able to root it (for a start :head2:) using a...

FS: Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100

Received the phone 3 days back in very good condition (except the scratches already mentioned and a small problem with the volume rocker). Very much satisfied with the deal. Posting this just for the purpose of feedback; I appreciate the seller, FaH33m.

    21-30k Budget 25k (Max) i3 laptop

Among these 3 models, go for the 15.6" Asus (1st one) if you want a big screen (I would :) ). Between the other two, the Toshiba does not have a usb 3.0 port which is a dealbreaker if you plan to use an external usb 3.0 hard disk. Let others respond and suggest alternatives.

Budget 35-52k: Sony CB45 or not (Asus K53SM-SX010D)? Owners please help.

Croma must be quoting (and selling) at MRP then. Regarding the touchpad, I find it not as sensitive as my older laptop. I wish it were a bit more sensitive. There a CB35 demo piece at the store. I felt that the touchpad in that was smoother (not sure as I did not compare both at the same time)...

Budget 35-52k: Sony CB45 or not (Asus K53SM-SX010D)? Owners please help.

You're right. N55SL MRP is still 81.99k but can be had for 69k. The N56 will be abt 85-86k but that will come down to the late 70s. Comp hw depreciate fast. For now, our Vaio is the full HD champ in a budget.

Laptops ASUS K53SM-SX010D....Not able to play Games At MAX settings...HELP!!

Depends on the game you're trying to play. But COD4 should not lag at highest settings at 1366x768. Make sure you have updated nVidia drivers although the model is new and should already have the latest. Chk whether optimus is working and the dGPU is being used. Hope other things are being taken...

Budget 35-52k: Sony CB45 or not (Asus K53SM-SX010D)? Owners please help.

@JuGGa Asus has launched a new one in India by the name N56VM. IB i7 + which kepler I'm not sure (should be 640m at least). Price 85+ (90k according to the press report) :). Great hardware unfortunately cost a lot. BTW, bought the CB45 today. Total damage: 52.9 + 2.5 (ext warranty) i.e. 55.4k...

71-90K High-end gaming laptop advice needed

Asus N55SL (or the upcoming N56SV, ask JuGGa) @69k HP Envy 15-3000 @75k OR Alienware m14x (heavy) (also you'll have to wait for the store to import) @85k -- least preferred due to the portability issues but most preferred due to performance. IB procy will be found in the N56SV (not yet in India)...

Budget 35-52k: Sony CB45 or not (Asus K53SM-SX010D)? Owners please help.

I feel it will be about 80k at first due to IB procy and the GPU but should go down as a few months pass. If priced at anything in the early 70s, it will be a heck of a steal deal.

Budget 35-52k: Sony CB45 or not (Asus K53SM-SX010D)? Owners please help.

Scary! Even the price will be :) However, the price might go down soon, as was the case with the N55SL. A gaming monster in the pipeline. But for people with heavy pockets

@randomuser111 Thanks a lot for confirming that! Now I won't regret after buying the CB45 ;). Thanks again for that. And since you clearly have a valid source from Sony, they should make you the Sony rep here :p. ---------- Post added at 10:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:18 PM...

41-50k Dell inspiron 14r special edition versus Dell inspiron 15r special edition

2gb won't get fully used by 640m level cards. But @JuGGa you need not have quoted the gtx670 ;). That's a baap. It will take most games a hell lot of pain to even to use up 1gb on that card. Multi-monitor full hd setup and some helluva games like Alan Wake or Just Cause 2 will be the recipe for...

Budget 35-52k: Sony CB45 or not (Asus K53SM-SX010D)? Owners please help.

Hey, but @randomuser111 , you're still speculating, right? Or do you have any concrete info? As far as product launches for this year are concerned, I watched the FY12-13 projection given by Sony India's MD via a Live Webcast two days ago. New launches have already been in the E series and will...

    51-70k Gaming Rig Under 60k

Better still, get an AMD based system. Phenom II x4 or x6 will save you a lot of money over the Intels and you can instead invest that in the Monitor (make it 27")/Graphics/Speakers. Get Wireless Gaming Keyboard-Mouse combo. Get a good SMPS/Cabinet combo. Even then, @rohan30186 I hope you know...

    Laptop under 1000 $

Regarding the touchpad, it's probably in the fourth quadrant. Read it somewhere with regards to the Acer Aspire M3 Ultrabook (new launch). As @JuGGa said, do try it out before buying.

Budget 35-52k: Sony CB45 or not (Asus K53SM-SX010D)? Owners please help.

randomuser111 That's the Vaio E Series, not C. They are 14" models with 1600x900 resolution. I checked with the Sony flagship store today. They said that the C Series is being discontinued and there will be no new models for the time being. That means no more Full HD in this price bracket...
