correct, keep the usb as backup always as it's very easy to mess up mac efi partition if you are trying to fix audio, gpu etc and os will become unbootable.

there is a efi partition on your mac ssd, you have to mount this efi partition on mac(which is empty currently), then transfer the efi folder from your USB installer to mac EFI partition.

i have previously used https://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html on windows dual boot to mount efi, also can use this script on mac terminal https://github.com/corpnewt/MountEFI

all my intake fans, (rear + bottom)(3 total) have dust filters on the outside of the case. Top 2 fans are 300 rpm lower than intakes. front panel has dust filter but it's on inside used by psu fan. been running for about 2 weeks in Bangalore, i dont see too much dust
