Please read what you wrote again. It's like saying I like girls, I broke up with one girl, so that makes me gay.

Their ideology is buying Tesla?? Again you are not able to explain how it is hypocritical.

They are making a political statement which they are allowed to do. There are plenty other electric cars out there. You are not able to explain how it is hypocritical. If they started buying diesel trucks then you could have said this. If they feel like supporting Tesla will empower Elon then it...

How is that hypocrisy? Have they changed their views on electric cars in general? Have they changed their views on politics? Elon is the one who has changed his views (which is also fine). But if he has decided to openly participate in politics of course his companies will get dragged in it.

Unless it's widespread inflation on every food item, it wouldn't be a problem for me, I would just temporarily reduce egg purchases and move to whey, paneer, meat, etc.

Looks like eggs are the onions of the USA. Never thought groceries would be an issue in a first world rich country. I consider myself middle class but even if my grocery/food expenses were to 2x overnight, it would not affect my financial condition at all. It's such a small percentage.

Every drop of butter we consume reduces our lifespan: What are some alternatives we can use

Sry I meant people who DIED in late 19th/early 20th century. Obviously someone dying in 90s or 2000s would have enjoyed the benefits of modern medicine. That's about as recently as one could have died.

Every drop of butter we consume reduces our lifespan: What are some alternatives we can use

OK then it should be pretty easy for you to find some famous Indians from late 19th/early 20th century that lived to 80+. Give it a try. Agreed but the life expectancy number already takes that into account, there is no other way to explain this. Cancer is found even in Egyptian mummies from...

Every drop of butter we consume reduces our lifespan: What are some alternatives we can use

All these cases would happen earlier also and people would die without anyone knowing the cause. That's why life expectancy was so low as treatment for many diseases was simply not there.

Every drop of butter we consume reduces our lifespan: What are some alternatives we can use

Life expectancy has only been going up. Living to 70-80 was a big deal 100 years ago, now it's almost guaranteed. Try to think of some famous historical figures like kings etc, and then check wikipedia for their age. You will be shocked most died very young of natural causes.

Canola is literally named after Canada. EU has it's domestic olive oil industry to protect. In fact EU gives US the same treatment  - https://www.drberg.com/blog/why-is-canola-oil-banned-in-europe

You are being very naive if you believe that. I am aware of the reason given by FDA. It's based on some study effect of erucic acid on mice in the 1970s. On the other hand you have the evidence of billions of Indians using mustard oil for thousands of years. In USA lobbying rules, so the...

All these employ Indian farmers. There is a good reason protectionism exists in this sector, it is badly needed. USA itself protects its farmers more than any other country. They outright banned mustard oil from being sold in the USA so their domestic Canola oil or whatever doesn't have to face...
