Shipping was available. Only the shipping cost was comin' to Rs.550. That was way too much for 3 HPs.

I had considered ordering 3 Pl11 from Prime. During checkout, I was given only one option of shipping to Bengal which specified that it is for heavy items, which was Rs.550.00, taking the total cost to 1500 + 550 = 2050 making the price of 1 to be about 700. So I did not purchase from Prime.

Can't the BIOS be replaced/restored from USB. Well, that is what ASUS' Crashfree BIOS is supposed to do isn't it?

I think there is some mistake here. The Sigma 17-70 is without doubt, one of the best lenses I have used and you are absolutely spot on in saying that it is a DC lens made only for the cropped sensor. However, you are wrong in saying that it would give you a coverage of 17mm on the wide end...
