YUP !!!!! after a biit of googling i found that out , the DAC is indeed good, as the mod instructed i turned of the mi sound and the audio quality is actually pretty decent. the bass is punchy and the best part is it doesnt distort at all during the highs.

Welcome. i was not able to find any opinions about the audio quality of mi3, i bought the phone just because it is said to have cirrus logic dac, the same dac which is present in iphone as well.Guy's ill be posting some indoor out door pics later in the day.
