    Mistakenly plugged a 110v adaptor to 230v supply but nothing happened..

    Okay, an update.. the adapter conked off in a couple months in spite of using step down transformer. The other adapter that was never plugged without a step-down transformer still works fine.. so the mistake did prove costly..

    Thanks everyone , I got 2 sharp inverters (1 and 0.8 T LV models) and one Onida 1.5T. Just tested them today and they'll seem great.. just a Q with sharp.. i was not able to see Wattage consumption, how do i switch that on?

    8dbi wont help much, its also the transmitted power that matters. Beyond 5dbi, omnidirectional seldom help, you will need directional antenna to boost the coverage but that has limitation of very low angle of coverage as dbi increases.
