Mistakenly plugged a 110v adaptor to 230v supply but nothing happened..

Like i mentioned, it says 100-120v. How soon would the adaptor last? Can it take the ordeal for couple hours?

Mistakenly plugged a 110v adaptor to 230v supply but nothing happened..

Got a small audio receiver from US that clearly mentions 100-120V. When I last checked, someone had directly plugged it directly in our 230v wall socket since a couple hour for charging the device. Now interestingly nothing happened, i would have expected the adaptor to burn out but its working...

Best Inverter AC in India? Edit: Bought Sharp AH-XP18MV (AC discontinued)

^ like he mentioned, air directly blows on him.. Though i can never dream of running A/C anything over 26 in Mumbai, no matter what time of day or season it is. Never checked with Interter Models though but i doubt if the experience will be much different.

c4eva will definitely do something good.. If disk is not required for gaming, then hopefully it can be copied, patched and checks bypassed like in PC.

1 ton Inverter AC enough for 168 sq ft room ?

Rather set the temp to 25 right from the beginning and let the A/c do its work.. Tell me if you find any difference this way..

1 ton Inverter AC enough for 168 sq ft room ?

Don't think any company's strategy could be like that. All I could think of, was maybe the dealer was ignorant about this part since Interter ACs are still a new concept...

    Energenie Power Meter - Kill-A-Watt for India - ~ Rs 800 shipped

Got one, never knew PC would consume 250W + when left on or Xbox would consume 80W even when idle. Would have loved India pins though, also not sure if using multiple layers of adapters will reduce PFC or any readings. Definitely a good buy and with button cells now, changing battery should be...

WP Nokia Lumia 520 - Discussion Thread

Okay, I had the same issue with the 520 today and thought this was definitely a hardware bug. But probing the button a bit more, I realized the rubber padding on the backside had popped out, probably while replacing the sim card.. So I just opened the back cover, and pushed the button out...

Do Ionisers in ACs produce ozone ?

After reading this thread in great detail and researching on products, I am mostly going with three Sharp Inverters for my new house. Just had a concern with regards to Ion Air Purification.. isn't it the one that will also produce ozone in small quantities and hence not good? Should this...

    Automatic floor sweeper / mop

^ Not sure if vacuuming alone can be effective in dusty Indian environment. While UV may disinfect, water may be needed to clean off finer dust. Also what about all the dust that settles on the furniture and stuffs all the times? Just my assumption, would love to be proven wrong though..

    Automatic floor sweeper / mop

Off course, most electronics would. Though its good to know it can handle wet floor..

    Automatic floor sweeper / mop

Yea, right. Its risky otherwise to use it during a house party (to show off) or in a house where there are young kids.
