This is an inherent problem with BSNL, usual browsing or downloads are painfully slow. Im trying to download new version for my iPhone on itunes since Yesterday, the process gets cancelled due to slow speeds. AVOID BSNL.

I downgraded from iPads baseband which was earlier used to unlock. Will have to find out how it works on yours, the ways are different for each version & baseband. Regarding the IMEI unlock, Raks would be able to guide you better....over to you Rak... I will have to check with that. Safe mode...

I've managed to downgrade Baseband to 05.13.04 from 6.15, while preserving the Unlock. Guess now we are on a higher plane to upgrade Version ?

Yes the Unlock is dependent on Baseband. How & where to get Unlocked IMEI ? If not 6.1.1, I can do with older Versions of 5 or 6.

Guys I have a query here, my 3GS is running on Version 4.1(8B117) & Firmware/Baseband 06.15.00. The phone is already on Unlock & JB. Now certain Apps(WhattsApp for one) do not run on this because of the older platforms, now I want to upgrade to newer Versions. How should I go about it ?

Using W8 for sometime now, not able to develop taste for it yet. I may never like it. The first thing I do as soon as I see the main Apps screen is switch to desktop mode. Btw how to switch off the Password input feature on start-ups ?
