R5 1600 is definitely a great choice if you consider all round performance, but since the user's priority is limited to gaming I guess an i5 still got the upper hand.
Do you need the whole setup or just the core components? Also, what sort of usage are we looking into? Just gaming or partly gaming & partly productivity application?
