    [REVIEW] Samsung Galaxy Nexus(Nexus Prime)

Same thoughts I had but the dev support for this phone is awesome. So even if you brick the phone there are ways to unbrick it. Btw, that happens under rarest of the rare cases so don't think that way. Go to this link and download the latest toolkit - [GNex TOOLKIT V7.8] Drivers, Backup...

Guide [GUIDE] Rooting and Unlocking your Samsung Galaxy Nexus(Nexus Prime)

I am on CM9. Not noticing any great battery improvements as such. Most probably will switch to liquid smooth by tomorrow :P Only hassle are the Gapps. I have to separately flash them. Oh well... :)

Guide [GUIDE] Rooting and Unlocking your Samsung Galaxy Nexus(Nexus Prime)

I am on stock JB since yesterday. It all depends if I want to test CM9 tonight or not. Then I will be swithcing back to stock ICS. If I do, I will try Mr. Franco's kernel and see the results. I heard the battery life is awesome on that. Then CM9 already has a kernel associated. I guess I will...

Guide [GUIDE] Rooting and Unlocking your Samsung Galaxy Nexus(Nexus Prime)

There are so many versions for the franco's kernel. Now which one is the latest (stable one of course). I don't mind using a bit old version only it shouldn't be ridden with bugs. About the control app, is it necessary to buy one? That is one thing that is stopping me :P Thanks for the patience.

Guide [GUIDE] Rooting and Unlocking your Samsung Galaxy Nexus(Nexus Prime)

Will download the stock ICS tonight. I understood. Will have to go back to stock then cm9. Finally everything is making sense now :D Yeah it wasn't rooted as you said. I lost my root after upgrading. Rooted it again using the kit. I am looking for a kernel. Kindly suggest. Most basic and stable...

Guide [GUIDE] Rooting and Unlocking your Samsung Galaxy Nexus(Nexus Prime)

Now running 4.1.1 :) All the data(installed apps, music etc) was wiped clean but but but only when I proceeded to upgrade to JB. Before that, when I just unlocked+rooted using the 1-Click for all button, the date remained intact. Now I am re installing the apps from the play store. Somehow...

Guide [GUIDE] Rooting and Unlocking your Samsung Galaxy Nexus(Nexus Prime)

I am still a bit unsure about flashing the kernel. When would I want to flash a kernel? Which kernels are known and most importantly if they're stable or not. You've mentioned the Franco and Glados kernel. Have you flashed those onto your phone? What improvements they bring in? As of now I am...

Guide [GUIDE] Rooting and Unlocking your Samsung Galaxy Nexus(Nexus Prime)

Even I would stick to stock before moving on to different ROMs to "know where I came from" :P Awful volume would be - is it too low or high? Low right? And yes, a Death Note fan lies here. I had even ordered the first 2 volumes of the Manga. The followed it up with the animated series which is...

Guide [GUIDE] Rooting and Unlocking your Samsung Galaxy Nexus(Nexus Prime)

Ok then change of plans. I wish to go for CM9 then Liquid Smooth for ICS and then to the JB roms. So as of now I just want to unlock and root and continue to use my phone on the stock 4.0.4. This toolkit description mentions "jelly bean edition". Does that mean if i select the do it all option...

Guide [GUIDE] Rooting and Unlocking your Samsung Galaxy Nexus(Nexus Prime)

True. I am using ES File Explorer to play movies on my phone shared over Wi-Fi. Thats one awesome feature. I am a bit confused yet again. I plan to take a Nandroid backup. So I shall proceed with rooting the device, right? Will I also have to unlock the bootloader first then? Wouldn't that wipe...

The Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus Thread.

Nice. Which mod is this? And how's the ROM coming along? I am worried about the battery life. I have been fiddling around a lot ( still on stock ) and the battery life is frugal. Sigh.
