Yes, I've seen this being mentioned in few forums, but cannot find any official note from Intel or description of any personal experience regarding the same. It would be good if you can provide any source for this information.
An estimate with this factored into the price can also help me gauge...
I've a sealed box i9-9900kf imported from US. Costed me ~25k including customs and FedEx charges. Warranty valid till March 2024. I'm looking either to start a budget non-gaming build with used components, or to sell it off. How much can I expect for this unlocked processor if i sell it on TE?
Hi, thanks for the help from the forum, the build turned out well.
I don't know whether there is anything of interest in my no-bling build, but I'm attaching few photos anyway.
In the first photo you can clearly see the two different fans on the cooler. I can post more photos if anyone wants...
Happy to update that the build was completed over the weekend. I have run few short stability tests and things look reasonably stable (i think).
Ran AIDA64 stability test and OCCT test for 5 mins and CPU temp was in the 65-70 degrees range. Prime95 torture test took one of the cores to 90...
The Assassin III is more massive than i had imagined.
Though I had checked the clearance numbers, I overlooked the g.skill RAM height, so there is few extra mm of fan sticking out which prevents the cabinet from closing. I've ended up swapping one of the fans with Arctic 120mm pwm fan...
I'm looking for a z390 motherboard to pair with an i9-9900KF which I've got recently.
Any lead appreciated.
Alternatively I can also sell the i9 if anyone is interested. It is a sealed box piece with warranty left till March 2024.
Decided to go with the following:
DEEPCOOL GAMERSTORM ASSASSIN III AIR COOLER
DEEPCOOL CL500 Gaming Cabinet
Antec B650 Bronze 650 Watt 80 Plus Certified Power Supply with Active Power Factor Correction (APFC) (B 650)
3 x ARCTIC P12 PWM - 120 mm Case Fan with PWM, Pressure-optimised, Very quiet...
It's 11900, not 11900k which I'm having - so I think it is less of a beast ( 65W TDP vs 125W), no overclocking.
I had looked at Noctua D15 as it is recommended at so many places, but it is slightly costlier and I'm a little concerned about the weight of the cooling tower pulling on the...
I was able to source the i9+mb for some nice discount, that was the only reason. In fact that was the only reason I started the build, even though the plan was always out there somewhere : )
Thanks for the recommendations. Now I'm confused regarding the cooler.
I'm getting the ML240L AIO cooler for 6k. Are these air coolers recommended by you in any way better than that?
I don't care about the RGB or the cleaner look with the AIO coolers, but I would like the cooler to be quiet...
Based on my budget, I'm planning to go with this : GIGABYTE P650B SMPS - 650 Watt 80 Plus Bronze Certification PSU With Active PFC
Please let me know your thoughts
For the Front panel Type-C port, I've chosen this: DEEPCOOL CL500 (ATX) Mid Tower Cabinet With Tempered Glass Side Panel (Black)...
