I removed the external sd card as of now. settings> SD card and Phone storage shows the following Internal SD card total space 1.52gb available space 1.44gb then in another tab below it shows internal phone storage available space 1.80gb

You need to install pdf printer, they don't actually print but save a pdf file. Scan you images as jpeg/tiff then in windows explorer select all & print. This will combine all the pages in 1 pdf but it wont be a ebook kind of thing.
