No reboot issue now. It was for only two or three days. So am going to consider it as 'power button' problem, not lollipop. Glad that I didn't have to go back, really liking lollipop.

Yes just take backup of apps using any back up manager on your old phone and transfer the .apk files to your new phone then install them. You can use shareit app for transferring these from old to new phone.

Once I tried applying the OTA and as soon as it started, had a change of mind and force rebooted. Since then it didn't prompt me for updates. Try at your own risk :P

^^thanks for the links. I didn't wait for 5.0 OTA and flashed the image myself. Didn't face reboot issues, then I got 5.0.1 OTA, after applying it, slowly the problem started. I crossed it thinking my power button got stuck, even now I am confused, if the problem is with software why isn't it...

My phone started acting up. Frequent reboots when ever power button is pressed. Restarted around 15 times so far today. Seems like many are having this problem on nexus 5 with 5.0.1

Win7 is slow, xp support has ended, so I need to move on.
