    Car & Bike Bicycle suggestions

I wouldn't recommend getting the Montra. TI are trying to do a decent thing here with the Montra brand name, but they haven't been super convincing IMHO. Launching a fancy premium carbon bike with flat bars was just plain dumb. There have also been QC issues (I think, not a 100% sure, check...

    Car & Bike Bicycle suggestions

If you are bent on buying 1 bike now and another later, I would again go back to the RR5.0 :) That way, you wont be spending too much initially. If you decide that cycling isn't the thing for you, there'll still be the option to bail without a bigger financial hit that a 'hybrid' might entail...

    Car & Bike Bicycle suggestions

The RR5.0 is the only reasonably priced bike close to the lower end of your budget. IMHO a hybrid is a bit of a compromise, not getting you the goods of either an MTB or a road bike. Get the RR5.0 and swap out the tires for something thinner if you want to. As far as not being 'flexible'...

Anyone here watching Vikings? Nothing out of the ordinary. Historically inaccurate, ok acting. Just don't have anything else to watch these days :-(

    Car & Bike Bicycle suggestions

I am not calling you out for suggesting the OP buy a MTB/hybrid. I mentioned Road bikes to emphasize that the other end of the spectrum exists too. IMHO if road bikes can comfortably be ridden on 'Indian roads' there is no reason why a hybrid would not suffice. An MTB is NOT a requirement to...

BS reasoning. The lightest of carbon fibre road bikes will do just fine on Indian roads. You don't need a mountain bike for riding on Indian roads. More pedaling effort does not equate to a better work out.

except you wont get 'normal' bicycles. 4k will probably buy you a 25kilo monster with springs & deer horns. @OP head over to www.bikeszone.com Much better place for your queries. (Do read the stickies before posting there)

Need help regarding career and Higher studies..

A Master's degree is definitely going to be helpful if you plan on working in the US. 1. Your age/the gap is of no consequence. Prior experience will be a positive once you get back into the job market. As @whatsinaname put it so well, if your reason for considering this is 'friends going to...

Why not just a free AV? I've been using the free version of Avast for the past 5 odd years. Never had any issues.

    Credit card quesstion

Keep in mind that we now have a credit reporting agency. Not clearing the whole balance on a cc can mess up terms for any future credit you might seek (cards/loans).

    Will the A116 work abroad?

HSDPA & GSM are the network protocols while the numbers that follow are the frequency band in which services are provided. Initially, different countries operated at different frequency bands (kind of like 110v vs 220v). Of late however, most countries have service providers in multiple bands...

The HP Touchpad / WebOS Thread

Dev is dead. I still run WebOS though. The Android ports were always incomplete. I use my Touchpad for Kindle + TV shows while flying (KalemSoft Media Player). Performs perfectly fine for that.

Need Help sending money from US to India.

US Dollar to Rupee Exchange Rates - Live I personally use the money transfer service that comes with my Wells Fargo bank account. They have a tie up with ICICI which means transfers are instantaneous. The rates are generally decent, not the best, but not bad either. They have a flat $5 fee per...
