i would say go for the dell u2711.

i think you guys have got the pricing of u2412 & u2410 wrong. it has shot up now as far as i know. if you are getting it at the price you have mentioned then its a no brainer which monitor you should buy.

there are 3 cabinets to consider. nzxt gamma nzxt source bitfenix merc alpha all are very good with what they offer. in the end its down to you.

yes for a resolution around 1920 i prefer a 16:10 ratio. but if you go higher res like 2560 then a ratio of 16:9 will not be any problem as the screen size is anyways very big. i always prefer dell monitors. if you have the budget then go for dell u2711 27"
