0-20k Need help in Home Server PC

Not nerd enough for snapraid command line, the GUI version won't work, no way to install or maybe I did something wrong. What does mergefs do?

0-20k Need help in Home Server PC

Can't say I agree with you but I suppose everyone has their approach. Do you have recommendations for stuff similar to FLEXRaid?

Curious why your suggesting OS/software based on storage capacity. Most people choose what they run based on their needs/preferences.

    The "Everyday" show-off thread !

How to do this? Does it show up when you format a drive like it does with regular drive letters?

    PS5 controller issues

Don't have an answer for you but how good is the compatibility of the PS5 controller for PC games? I've read the Xbox one works well with most games but the PS5 one needs some work or doesn't work with all games.

    Fighting games

Thanks for the inputs, I have purchased 2 controllers and some other stuff for it. Not being familiar with it some research was required. I have also purchased some controller games, it will be a while before I can install everything.

    Fighting games

I'm looking to maybe play some modern fighting games (old school street fighter/mortal kombat etc) and I want to do so with 2 players in the same room, not online. I haven't had a console in decades but I'm willing to buy one if needed. I have no idea what games are available or if I can have 2...

Buying AC for the first time. What things to keep in mind while buying one?

I know ACs remove moisture but I am not sure what really helps. I use the AC all the time, not just when it is humid. Even in the winters the AC is on.

Buying AC for the first time. What things to keep in mind while buying one?

Better cooling, more reliable, cools longer. Tried many brands but this seems to be the best. At the least have tried LG,Hitachi,Daikin,Mitsubishi,Carrier. Mitsubishi is also good.

Buying AC for the first time. What things to keep in mind while buying one?

The thought had crossed my mind but I am not sure how prevalent this is. My current house was built about 15 years ago, it has space for window ACs. All the houses I've visited tend to have them but of course modern tendency is, like I said, to view the window as archaic. That is probably why...

Buying AC for the first time. What things to keep in mind while buying one?

Don't know the humidity if you mean specific numbers. It is pretty humid and hot here and I dislike heat more than most. Then I'd recommend going with Daikin. This is true, split has more visual appeal to people, I think people also find windows to be archaic. Splits do have noise, less so...

Buying AC for the first time. What things to keep in mind while buying one?

You might be talking about me, strangely I am looking for an AC right now. Current AC is having issues, time to replace it I think. Probably going with O General as it seems they have updated their models and now there is a window that is more of a regular size. OP I recommend you get a window...

    ISP without FUP

Update. Got Alliance, tested it, seems to be no FUP but they block ports. Asked them to open it and they refused. So the no FUP is basically useless. Speeds (downloads) are about 50-60% of advertised speeds. Uploads are far lower. Obviously I won't be renewing. Note, they are extremely rude...

    ISP without FUP

If that is from them then that is really bad, I get downtimes maybe 3-4 times a year. Usually a day or two, that too after rain/storms.

    ISP without FUP

How much downtime on average per month? What do you plan to shift to? I was happy with Airtel until they started the FUP. Little downtime and generally constant speeds.

Do you use alliance? Can you confirm they have no FUP?

    ISP without FUP

Typically such data is only consumed with large files, so I'd guess people use it for downloading, streaming or backing up data to the cloud.

    ISP without FUP

I use pretty much all I can. For the past two years I've averaged about 5.5TB a month. If I had more speed I'd use more. I've been using a 40mbps plan from Airtel, so far they had not been implementing FUP, now they are. I had not changed the plan to 1 gbps because I didn't want the FUP. I...
