I've had my MBA for ~5 months now and I love it to bits. It handles anything I throw at it with consummate ease. It really is the perfect student laptop, IMHO.

Being slightly biased towards Apple I'd have said get the Mac but since you can only fit in the MB 13" and MBP 13" in your budget - both of which have a crappy 1280x800 resolution I'd say that your money is much better spent on getting a Windows laptop.

You're right. The UK only retails FU iPhones, however I was worried that having a locked iPhone would make matters complicated.

So the other day I was on my bike when my iPhone (3GS, 32GB) slipped out of my pocket and fell on the road. I immediately got off the bike and went to pick up the phone breathing a sigh of relief when I noticed that the screen was not cracked. However, to my horror the phone wouldn't start up...
