    IEM help

20k.........That's a lot of money. Think some of the guys here would be able to make better suggestions if you gave them a little more information like the source you use / amp if any etc etc. Can't think of anything right now but the IE8/IE80 could be something to look at. Wait for the pros...

    Random IEM / Headphone Rants

Bro have you posted a work log of sorts anywhere on the mods you made to the LCD2? I've shelved the idea of getting another pair of customs after hearing the LCD3. No way I can afford them but it's nice thinking about it. :)

Need help in finalizing a headphone setup

BTW do you use the bowl, jumbo, flat pads with your Grados? Thinking which ones to get , don't want to make the mistake of getting the wrong ones ........................... they're expensive for just foam. Think its 25/35/45 USD for the bowl/TTVJ Flats/Jumbo. Any places that sell them locally?

Need help in finalizing a headphone setup

The bass is accurate and tight, not bloated. Good mids and highs, been a while since I heard them though. I remember liking them more than the 325 although the plastic finish is something I didn't like. Maybe you should get in touch with @bennysachdev think he owns a pair.

Yup, using the velours. Don't have an extra pair though, they oddly bundle one extra pad, not a pair. The faux leather ones are easier to keep clean though, got to wash velours every now and then. Want try them out with my dad's receiver when I'm back home next. don't think his CD player works...

Need help in finalizing a headphone setup

I'd agree with strategy too, unless you're looking for two very different sound signatures. Having heard most of the Grado range save the PS500, I like the 225 and the RS2 the most, with the RS2 the highs are not as aggressive as the rest while they are a slight deviation from what I'm told is...

Need help in finalizing a headphone setup

If you're set on a pair of Grados then the 225 is what you want. Classic Grado signature but with the highs being more tame than then rest of their SR series. I jumped back on the Grado wagon recently :hail: .................. missed them! The HE-300 which are Hifiman's dynamic driver offerings...

The HE4 sound a tad V shaped too. Probably doesn't help that my SR71B is a bit treble hot. Great stuff for the price though. Not sure about the difference the two pads make to the sound but the velour are far more comfortable.

Congrats man. What's the whole chain you're using to drive them? Only one of the 4 pics loading on tapatalk :( Are they as easy to drive as Fang claims them to be? I've got the HE4 and they require quite a bit of juice.

    The "Everyday" show-off thread !

Got this one abroad but I'm sure you get them all over the place in India as well, dad's been using them for years and he gets some of his locally. The Savinelli is slightly more expensive than the local ones, you should be able to get a 6mm w/o the replaceable filter for about 2000 or so I...

    Please suggest a decent DAP

The thing is they're not very hard to drive but sound better amped to me, my version was different though. What amp to get would depend on your budget, if you're looking to reel in the highs a bit then something warmer like a used mustang would be nice. The amps psygeist suggests would be nice...

    Please suggest a decent DAP

The HD25s scale nicely with an amp. If you're looking to run it straight out of a DAP then maybe the Telcast T51/SFlo 2 would make a pretty decent unamped source that's not too expensive. UI won't be the best though.

Can someone please help me get a new IEM.

@esanthosh I've been trying to get information on the the new lightning connector thing that apple's using on the new iPhone 5, does this come on the new touch as well? If its an all digital connection does it mean the line out is no longer functional? It's the only reason that's kept me away...

Can someone please help me get a new IEM.

100 Euros is about 130 USD w/o taking into consideration the paypal exchange rate + paypal fee. Not to mention shipping from China would probably be a bit cheaper than it would from Italy.

FS: Mobile iPhone 4 16GB Factory Unlocked

CLOSING the thread. Won't have time to ship it out after tomorrow. For anyone who might have taken my bank details over the last few days - DON'T make a transfer as I probably wont receive the money in time for me to be able to ship.

No more holding. Taking it off sale tomorrow. Don't have the time for everyone who keeps saying they need to arrange funds!! First person to commit gets the thing. EDIT: Just spoke to owner - 21K is the lowest he's willing to go. 20k for local cash deals (Chennai).

    The iPhone 5 thread

True, but in the back of my mind is always going to be the thought of a new close to 900 dollar (edit: SGD) phone blowing up because I used a cheaper version of the adapter.............even if its not really possible :P

    The iPhone 5 thread

Disappointing. The only reason I'm thinking of buying it is the money I've spent on iTunes already, would have got the S3 or the next Samsung offering if I was a first time smart phone buyer for sure. What's even more pissing off is that I'll have to buy another charger for work or wait for them...
