Monitors Ultra Wide? Yes or No

    Yes, I meant height, thanks. We can compare a 27" to a 34" UW but price-wise we're moving to 43" 4K territory.

Monitors Ultra Wide? Yes or No

Downloaded the official trailer of The Hateful Eight to check how it fares after removal of black bars. Check the 2 screenshots, it looks far better to me after the black bars were gone. Your opinion might differ.

Monitors Ultra Wide? Yes or No

I have to disagree with this. Ultra wide is better for multitasking and work which requires more horizontal space but at the same time, it is less ideal for work which requires more vertical space. Ultra wide or not, a bigger monitor with more resolution is always better for work or media...

    41-50k PC for learning/virtualization

You can save some money by going for DDR4 2400-2666MHz for 12-12.5K. H370, B360 or H310 chipset supports DDR4 upto 2666MHz You won't get any performance benefit by buying 3000MHz RAM. Among those two PSUs TX550M is better. GPU prices are high and if you have a sine wave inverter in home, there...

    41-50k Upgrade suggestion

You will be at disadvantage with 2600 considering the apps you use and the fact that you'll not overclock. R5 and i5 configurations are already suggested. Here is an i7 8700 configuration- CPU - i7 8700 mobo - GIGABYTE H370 AORUS Gaming 3 WIFI RAM - 2666 or 2400MHz RAM. Buy 1 x 16 GB if...

    41-50k PC for learning/virtualization

You're confusing base frequency with boost frequency. The 3.9GHz is the boost frequency of 2400G. 8400 has boost frequency of 4GHz on single core and 3.8GHz on all cores. In VM you won't get 16 vCPUs with 2400G only 8. If you've checked the link I posted then you'll know that those logical cores...

    41-50k Upgrade suggestion

Intel is more preferable for the applications you use. yes, There will be some performance degradation with single channel. 3D modeling takes the biggest hit with single channel and video encoding will be slower too. As you will be editing videos go for dual channel if you can. Only go for...

    41-50k PC for learning/virtualization

That is what I thought and recommended the i5 8400 over 2400G.

    41-50k Upgrade suggestion

LR, PS or PR are well optimized for Intel than AMD. That might change in future as AMD gains more market share. In latest Premiere 12.1 update adobe added hardware acceleration for intel processors which uses the igpu for faster video encoding. With HW acceleration enabled i5 8600K easily...

    41-50k PC for learning/virtualization

I think the same. 2400G has 2 more threads but 8400 has 2 more cores so it's not easy to conclude which will win for VM. Cost will be similar due 3000/3200 MHz RAM prices for Ryzen. Some discussion on the matter...

    41-50k PC for learning/virtualization

R5 1600 definitely has advantage over 8400 for VM or other multithreaded tasks that is why I said 'almost comparable'. I am well aware R5 1600 does not come with iGPU. I made the comparison to give OP an idea how 8400 stacks up compared to other processors mentioned in this thread. The price...

    41-50k PC for learning/virtualization

If you can afford i5 8400 then go with it. It is almost comparable to R5 1600 and better than both 2400G and 8100. Those quoted prices are high they are selling for much lower prices at other stores. i5 8400 will set you back by around 13.5K.

CPU/Mobo Suggest AIO Liquid cooler for Ryzen 2700x

By bigger I meant the 360mm thermaltake cooler, it loses to a smaller cooler. Usually bigger is better in cooling but this is not the case with this cooler. I am talking about the Corsair H115i or you can call it the extreme version not the pro version. It performs similar to EVGA CLC 280 and it...

CPU/Mobo Suggest AIO Liquid cooler for Ryzen 2700x

Not sure what causes pump failure on X62, its made by Asetek like others, and the leakage is probably due to mishandling by the user or in shipping. The other option you have is Corsair H115i. The Thermaltake Floe Riing RGB 360 TT you mentioned is got beaten by EVGA CLC 280 Which is internally...

CPU/Mobo Suggest AIO Liquid cooler for Ryzen 2700x

It does not have high failure rates but some people have reported problems with its pump, so yeah some reliability issue is there. If you have a big case and don't move your PC that much you can consider air cooler. They are more reliable than liquid coolers and cheap. This is a comparison on...
