Just updated my frnd's DEFY from Indian Froyo to MIUI 1.7.15 directly without installing Nordic, all is well :)

Get the DEFY, coz it has CM7 & MIUI support, i myself own a DEFY running MIUI 1.7.1 and i love it

Then go to the service center, why get into the Rooting+RSD+Flashing new ROM :)

I had the same problem, but i had Vodafone, try using Baseband Switcher V4.0, i had the same problem, i used the switcher and it helped, but the internet speed were less, but just then i switched to MIUI 1.7.1, 2 days ago and my mobile is back to normal

The update that was released was a Trial Update, that's why it was removed from the websites, but why wait for them to update, u can upgrade to 2.3 using CM7 or MIUI

Wow i did not know we had a Battery Upgrade, but the only problem i'm thinking of is that is it genuine and will it blast like those Nokia Battery's

I went from 2.1 to 2.2 (Pays ROM) then to 2.3.4 (CM7) and then to MIUI, i did have Baseband problems when i shifted to CM7 from Pays ROM, might be coz i did not flash the Nordic froyo

Froyo isn't available yet through updates i guess, u shud opt for CM7 or MIUI 1.6.17

Now my SMS are working, but the Internet has bad connectivity now :(, which baseband are you guys using ?, i can't seem to find one good baseband for Vodafone

Everything now looks more Beautiful and is much faster i guess, though i'll miss the home launcher button :(

Just installed MIUI 1.6.17, one question though, where the f*** is the home launcher button, searched for almost 1 hour :(
