go with samsung. it has the best built in media player with dts and the contrast and black level are the best when properly tuned.viewing angles are lower than lg-philips-panasonic though. sony and samsung use same panels except sonys cost more.

i would go for the one with usb 3.0 for future proofing. also its cheaper. the 0.1 ghz makes very little difference. hdd can be upgraded. don't know about asus service though. build quality is above average for this type of notebooks.
