    Distributed Operating system ????

In today's world, no one uses a distributed OS. It was never practical enough to have ever emerged from research labs at universities into the commercial market. You'll not find a list of such OS outside research environments. The majority of the world is either on a Monolithic Kernel on a...

MIS from US or Government job in India?

If 'coding' is what is bothering you, why not take a side-step? You should consider testing roles, or system/network administration. IMHO, getting into a 'sarkari' job will likely destroy whatever technical skills you do possess.

Need Amplification advise for Accusound OM-VII

I believe the E17 has received decent rating, both as DAC & HP amp. If you're using the E17's headphone-out (HO) as input to an Amp/AVR, you'll be double amping, which is bad since each amplification stage will add some distortion to the original signal. However if the E17 has a line-out...

is game developing a good choice ?

Do keep in mind that there are very few companies in India doing game development. It will not be easy to get into one, and even if you do, once you are ready to change companies, you'll again have a very limited choice.

Triple booting XP-7-Ubuntu 12.04 using single boot screen

IIRC, Ubuntu offers 'WUBI' as an option, which creates a big file on the windows partition that is considered by Ubuntu as a 'virtual' partition. Ubuntu can then be booted with the Windows boot-loader. I'm pretty sure WUBI is compatible with WinXP, you'll have to research to see if Win7 is...

Weird Issue in Windows 8 Enterprise 9200 MSDN

IIRC, Win 8 had made some modifications to the filesystem structures, and these might not be backward compatible with Win7. The best interoperability bet would be make one partition as FAT32. Note that Windows arbitrarily limits FAT32 partitions to 32GB, but you can use any Linux Live CD to...

    from C to C++

If you already know C, I'd suggest "Teach Yourself C++" by Al Stevens. I think its in 7th edition now. This doesn't try to teach you programming basics, but rather teaches you the C++ language. And unlike books such as Kanetkar, etc. that are traditionally referred during college, this book...

Need Amplification advise for Accusound OM-VII

85W is the upper limit. If you are able to audition amps, you should be able to find many amps with a lower power (~30 to 40 W) that pair well with your speakers. It would be best to carry around your own speakers if you're able to audition. Generally, stand-alone amps are preferred for music...

COWON D2+ OR SANDISK SANSA FUZE+ - Need Honest Opinions

+1 My old Fuze is able to drive even HPs comfortably. The AD-700 is a piece of cake even at -30 dbFS; however it struggles a bit with the HD-650, driving it to only 'normal' listening loudness at full volume (0 dbFS). But then again, the HD-650 is a very difficult to drive HP (300 Ohms if I'm...

Questions on setting up hi-fidelity audio

As mentioned earlier, the uDac's output power is very low, in terms of 100's of milli-watts. This is sufficient to drive headphones, but woefully inadequate for speakers. Your Arko/MX speakers are powered, ie, they have an internal amp that amplifies this low power into the 10's (or 100's) of...

Help regarding rectification of distorted audio

Try experimenting with the default filters available on Audacity Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder It would appear that the intended sound wasn't really recorded by the mike, so don't have high expectations of recovering it.

Questions on setting up hi-fidelity audio

+1 The output power of the uDac will be in terms of few hundred milli-watts (Thousandth of a watt), while your typical speaker will require 10's of watts. Hooking up the uDac directly to speakers would likely burn out the uDac's internal amp (meant for HP/IEMs).

    Random IEM / Headphone Rants

Damn, these cost a bomb :scared14: . 4.7k is quite a premium if you don't want to carry around many cards. Unfortunately, it seems very few cards at 64GB. It just seems much more economical to buy 2 x 32GB cards at 1100 each (I must add slower though, @ Class 4) SanDisk MicroSDHC Card 32GB...

Dude, let me state it again: It's not discontinued by Sansa. http://shop.sandisk.com/store/sdiskus/DisplayCategoryProductListPage/parentCategoryID.11442300/categoryID.48956100 It would certainly be interesting to hear your take on a 'consumer' grade item after you've been with an...

    Random IEM / Headphone Rants

^+1. Unfortunately, it's probably been around a year (if not more) since the Fuze was discontinued. It's going to be pretty tough to find a fresh piece in the market now; used/2nd hand is another matter though.

    Random IEM / Headphone Rants

Don't confuse terms. These are not discontinued by Sansa, they are probably "Out of Stock" or no longer carried by FlipKart. Sansa is still selling Clip+, ClipZip, Fuze+. SanDisk Products IIRC, PN was the original supplier to FK. If PN still has stock, and this is what you want, I'd say go...

    Random IEM / Headphone Rants

In terms of uncoloured SQ, definitely Sansa. IIRC, iPod Classics had sometime ago moved to an inferior DAC. If you plan to use RockBox, do keep in mind that RockBox support for "Fuze+" is not fully mature. I believe Rockbox'll work fine for SQ, but there are interface niggles that have yet to...
