Choice can be difficult between these two. I have not used FIIO E10K but on quick google search it seems its a nice DAC. But somehow I have a feeling that DX will be better sounding than FIIO Dac. Since E10k is a USB Dac it has its own advantages. You can use it with your laptop as well and...

True, agree with flux. If you dont have high end headphones, you would be hard pressed to find the difference between the two. If you are getting used DX at good price you may go for it otherwise DG will be the wiser choice for now.

Both DG and DX are good. DX being costly will surely have better SQ than DG. If your budget permits go for DX, I guess it is also loud enough for normal headphones. Though DG has inbuilt amplifier.

After considering your requirement it seems DG will be best bet for you. If you have any interest in DAC's, I have FIIO E9, which is lying unused, I can think of selling it at a good price. Let me know.

Sound card makes all the difference. Buy Xonar DG and I am sure after that you will say your laptop does not sound as good as your desktop :D

I got this monitor from one of our members few days back. It took me lots of time to calibrate it. Game mode is very saturated at lower contrast and brightness setting. It works best in standard mode only, I have edited the factory Standard mode setting by going in factory menu and it looks nice...

The difference in audio quality will be huge. I would suggest you go for DG instead of DX. Its great small card.

I guess Atom processor is not fast enough to run these distros. I have also tried many in Samsung NC10 but yet to find a distro which I can keep.
