    CPU/Mobo [SOLVED] Haswell Refresh or Broadwell

    Wasn't that more like Jan 2015? :P Anywho, good I went ahead with the purchase. 1 Year would have set me back a lot! Is this still related to the manufacturing issue?

    Haha, I hear ya! Perhaps I could start a custom sleeving service in India [emoji6]

    Build Log : The ++Shad0wKnight++

    Yep! I should have enough sleeving for it all. Plus, Mils includes separate sleeves for Fan, SATA, SATA 3 and PSU Cables. Most will be black, but for the 24-pin and 8-pin MoBo connectors, I'll be doing an alternate Red and Black sleeving. And if enough remains, then the PSU ones as well...

    Build Log : The ++Shad0wKnight++

    Yep, flat cables at the moment which are incredibly hard to turn. Can't wait to individually sleeve them all! Have ordered the sleeving from MDPC (the site itself, cheapest shipping, Mils' is a cool guy!). In the mean time, got something else done. TEASER:

    That's including shipping! *waits to hear the sound of a jaw drop* Shipping was just €9, which is standard.

    Update #6 The Noctua NT-H1 Thermal Compound just came in! But they are just going to sit around till the fans come in. Patience. Hmm... Quick phone shots.

    Cables? I'm guessing you're referring to the sleeving. 3.6K with shipping. The OKGear ones I had previously ordered amounted to the same but lesser material, and off course, no match for MDPC's quality.

    @Fenix: Should look "snazzier" when I get the WC loops. [emoji6] but don't wait for it. Haha. It'll probably happen in 2015. Update #5 My MDPC Easter Edition sleeves have been shipped! Super excited to get these. If I end up with extras, I might resell some to the community members here. But...

    CPU/Mobo [SOLVED] Haswell Refresh or Broadwell

    Yes, I've read about those. People do weird stuff with their components without following any of the safety protocols. One of those "know it all dudes". I take my own sweet merry time when working on such stuff. Nonetheless, I've been warned. :)

    Build Log : The ++Shad0wKnight++

    #Update 4 Wow, what a morning this has been. Setup the SSDs and HDDs, GPU and in all that excitement, pressed the power button! And BOOM.... Nope, no boot. Err... so after checking around, reading forums, etc... (spent 1 hour doing this), turns out, the problem was: the 24-pin connector had...

    Thanks, mate. I'm almost done. Nope, no upgrading the GPU yet. Will wait for the 8xx ones to drop!

    Build Log : The ++Shad0wKnight++

    Update #3 The case finally arrived at 8PM today, albeit, with a broken front panel (something very common apparently, with this particular case during shipping. My supplier is sending a replacement tomorrow post-noon). Nonetheless, that wasn't stopping me. TL;DR 1. This is one rock solid...

    Build Log : The ++Shad0wKnight++

    @Fenix: Absolutely! I had the same suspicions as you do, but I was glad to be proven wrong. After watching the 760T video, I was a bit worried how this one would turn out. But boy o'boy, it's one rock solid case. The side panel flex is between negligible to zero. The way it's fitted in is also...

    @Fenix: you're right. But budget became the bottle neck on that one.

    Build Log : The ++Shad0wKnight++

    I did look for used i5. Only found IvyBridge ones. I have a SandyBridge i5 K version. Nonetheless, no regrets. :) GPU front: have a 650 Ti Boost OC from ASUS. Waiting for the consumer 8xx to arrive. Tried one of the Reference cards at the Nvidia test center in Pune. They seem to out-mark my...

    Build Log : The ++Shad0wKnight++

    @RD274: yes, I am aware of that. After much thought, I went ahead with this. Once the broadwells are out, I'll get a K CPU. To me, that sounded like a more logical step.

    CPU/Mobo [SOLVED] Haswell Refresh or Broadwell

    I'm sure it does, but I plan to mod the H100i in the near future and get my GPU in the loop as well.

    Yes, saw that when the board came in. Will be seeing if the bit display works with that. Finding ASUS's specs for it.

    @rajan1311 : Well, I learnt that this was the first Maximus VII Ranger sold to a customer in Pune :P (I'm not believing it yet, but it's hard not to :P). Anywho, just back with all the parts. I'd like you take a look at my build log here >...
