How about canon S95? its like a mini DSLR, packing all features of a DSLR into a compact body. plus all the features of point-n-shoot also.

I also have the 320kbps unlimited plan since last 1yr and it suffices me for video calls in Gtalk and Skpe. never did i face any lagging in video or audio. earlier even i was of the same impression that 320kbps many not suffice for video chat.

Lavasa is the closest from pune approx - 60-70kms, nice place to spend a day. there are a number of water sports too in lavasa. also the drive to lavasa from the ghats is also pleasant.. esp for bikers nice curves :P
