    Graphic Cards which x800xl?

Mod ur A8N-E to A8N-E SLi [Now ASUS can also do this]

It is semi SLI mod which i believe MSI was the first one to find out and display. It has about the 90% performance of true SLI, but AFAIK this mod is disabled in new nvidia drivers.Another prob with this MOD is, it is difficult to procure the SLI bridge for ASUS motherboard.

    Graphic Cards which x800xl?

Gainward on the 6600gt has heat sink which is flimsily mounted, resulting in about 5 degrees increase, better go with leadtek or gigabyte

    Graphic Cards Nine 6600 GT's ( AGP ) reviewed

THG's shootout of 6600's gave the Gigabyte passively cooled card as the best among all others(leadtek, gainward,MSI,etc), so it wouldn't be baaad....that's for sure. Also i was reading an artilcle on thermaltake passive x800xl cooler(maybe it was Xbitlabs or Anadtech, don't remember). While they...

    Graphic Cards Nine 6600 GT's ( AGP ) reviewed

Well the best 6600gt IMO, is gigabyte's passively cooled one.Man, its got a really good cooling system as good as active ones, box OCed, and modders can put a fan on the hsf (or maybe 2 :D )and then its gonna OC like Hell :ohyeah:

    To Hell with Boyle's Law

Hahahaha  But come to think of it, IMO Hell should be Endothermic, 'cause hell is asked as whole system, weather its Endothermic or Exothermic. Now we all know, hell is very hot internally, so if all, so might be its gettin its energy to keep it warm from outside i.e. its absorbing energy...

Graphic Cards Warning regarding XFX 6600GT AGP cards

My XFX 6600gt AGP had also died, within 2 months of purchase, but the fault here was kinda mine, 'cause the power cable of the card had loosened during one the RAM replacement. As i ran my card on loose power cable, there were symptoms like the system crashing after 4-5 mins. whenever i played...

    CPU/Mobo Turion64 - a DuD ?

Here's an interesting Article on AMD's new Turion64 proccessor http://www.gamepc.com/labs/print_content.asp?id=turion64 The new AMD procc. is clearly beaten everywhere(except the synthetic sandra) quite comprehensively by Pentium M, weather it be power consumption, Gaming Performance or...

    CPU/Mobo AMD Official Processor Pricing

I've already have admitted that AMD is better in single core, but still if you compare the FPS difference b/w the 2 similar procc., it'll be hardly ten. We can put it this way, get AMD dual core for $520 and run u'r games on integrated graphics or get intel dual core+x800xl for $515 :P As far...

    CPU/Mobo AMD Official Processor Pricing

How do you know the performance loss in the games would unacceptable, 'cause there are no *new* games optimized for Dual core available yet. You can get corsair xms2 ddr2 800 (5-5-5-12) for around $250 and if i'm not mistaken you can run these Rams at lower latencies if u underclock them.So for...

    CPU/Mobo AMD Official Processor Pricing

If you Quantify "far better" in terms of FPS, its hardly 10 in current single core scenario. So i don't think spendin 250 bux more on gettin an AMD dual core, instead of Intel is worth it, you can get an excellent gfx for the cost which will nullify, the procc advantage :ohyeah:

PC Peripherals Another Boring Config Thread

If u'r not buying 6600gt, you should get msi rs480m2 instead of k8n, 'cause its got excellent integrated video as good as geforce 6200 and much better then u'r current fx5200 and also got pci-e, and socket 939, so upgrading would be easy in future. The complete rig then with above spec(minus the...

    CPU/Mobo AMD Official Processor Pricing

^^That's a temporary scenario, 'cause current games are not meant for dual cores.Games to come will start taking the benifit of Dual cores, and you'll see visible results. That's bcoz, u'r tryin to sell a kinda current chip at a forum, where members are very knowledgeable, which know AMD's...

    CPU/Mobo AMD Official Processor Pricing

Cost per unit, maybe okay, but u gotta admit, new tech is new, aren't you just as anxious to get hands on a dual core, besides there are other reasons too, i think that will make Intel rule in dual core: -Cost advantage ofcourse, you will get intel chip for $240 while for AMD gives it own...

    CPU/Mobo AMD Official Processor Pricing

On Topic: These pricing may look impressive now, but i'm goin the Intel way, when dual cores hit the market, 'cuase Intel's dual core chip is expected to cost half as much compared to AMD.
