Audio Setup for Living Room under 20k

That's as true as it gets here. Since the OP mentioned room size, I guessed the 40-50 Watt RMS should suffice. Take a like my main man!

They dropped PMPO and just claimed Peak Watts. Doesn't mean anything at all. RMS is the only true measure for power!

Audio Setup for Living Room under 20k

40 to 50 Watts RMS is good. Regular consumer audio products report peak power output for short bursts and claim that they are 400 to 500 watts. My Polk Audio RTI A7s are running at 120 watts off an AVR and they're max capable for 300 watts. 120 watts each is deafening. Real audio talks about RMS...

Audio Setup for Living Room under 20k

Acoustic science is simple. Bigger the speaker diameter, the better the sound. A hundred tiny speakers won't match a single large diameter one. It's just how sound works. I would personally never get a sound bar unless it was say for a guest room and it's attached to the TV there. A marginal...

Agree, if they're good speakers, people generally take good care of them so the pre-owned route is worth considering

They'd work fine. It's not like the original muffs were super comfortable to begin with. Some after market ones actually feel better imho.

Audio Setup for Living Room under 20k

Here's my two cents on this. Really good 2.1 speakers will deliver a better listening experience than budget 5.1 sets. Most music is mixed for stereo sound excluding Atmos, 360 etcetera so a good pair of 2.1 speakers would deliver great music. For most movies, OTTs and TV, the stereo set up...

FS: Headphone [SOLD] Audio Technica ATH-M50 Professional Studio Monitor Headphones

Got mine from AliExpress back in the day. There are all kinds of headbands on Amazon India. Headbands and muffs for the ATH-M50X should also fit the ATH-M50 I think.

The PLEX / Emby / Jellyfin Thread (Home Media Server)

I admit they've deviated in part from just being your own media server but the key features I use it for are their core product. I do sometimes use the extra movies they got for some oddball classics, I actually use their audio Android app as my own FLAC streaming service when I'm out and about...

The PLEX / Emby / Jellyfin Thread (Home Media Server)

Not too sure. Everyone I know Chromecast or Firestick it. If you're a Plex Premium subscriber though you get all apps, all functionality etc. Personally I felt it's worth it, support an awesome team, and I paid back in 2014 I think. Been using it for 7 years which makes it about 15 dollars a...

The PLEX / Emby / Jellyfin Thread (Home Media Server)

I use mine with web streaming and oddly enough the free movies they provide via Plex Movies have quite a few classics in them. Some hilariously bad ones too but stuff made for popcorn Fridays. The hassles of streaming from your system to family and friends involves getting a Static IP and...

The PLEX / Emby / Jellyfin Thread (Home Media Server)

That's great. Subscribed back when lifetime cost $75. It's gone up since then. Tried Kodi prior and found Plex to just be easier to use but then again, Kodi is free, so there's that. Sharing Plex libraries is a thing and if shared enough is a heck of a lot better than most OTTs.
